How to make Cutting Master 5 appear in AI

Good day, AI Community.

Please let me first start by saying I am new to this program and to this cutting plotter (Graphtec CE7000-40), and I plan on signing up for some extensive training. However, in the meantime, I am following instructions, step by step, to get a logo from Canva (downloaded in jnp format), opened in AI and sent to Cutting Master 5. However, when I select File (in AI), I do not see it listed as an option. Could someone please tell me what I am possibly doing wrong? Obviously, I have missed/misunderstood a process/step along the way. Any help would be amazing! Thank you!
