how to make gradient stop sharply at particular location

i saw someone can split a shape into 4 portions by using gradient. I want to add 1 more color in middle. But whatever i do, the newly added color will affect neighbour stripe. I google on gradient skill but cannot find tutorial on this skill

    your screenshot shows that you have two overlapped colors  (6 colors stops ), just delete one of each overlapped colors as shown in the screehsot below
