Add hyperlinks from Excel file?

Anyone knows a way to be able to automatically add InDesign hyperlinks links from a referenced Excel file?
Charts with hundreds of model numbers, each linking to their own web page, but not show the full address.

Example: XYZ1234 would link to https://www.examplesite.com/XYZ123-blabla

I don't think this -- simple -- script would work. It would require a custom -- much more complex -- solution. I did this before and posted an example of such a script here on my site.
