Adobe InDesign keeps crashing

Starting on May 16, 2024 my Adobe InDesign keeps crashing when it opens.  No new updates have been installed, I have uninstalled and reinstalled I have uninstalled cleared the preferences and cache and it doesn't matter what file I have opened it continuously crashes after opening a file and trying to click anything within the file.

If you are on a Mac - and new version of OS or InDesign has been auto-installed - InDesign might have lost its folder access priviledges.

Are you sure that you don't have auto-updates ruuning on your computer? Since you say that this all started on a specific day it seems possible that your operating system was updated without you knowing it which could lead to compatibility problems. To check for this on a Mac see: https://support.apple.com/guide/mac-help/software-update-settings-on-mac-mchla7037245/mac#:~:text=To%20open%20these%20settings%2C%20choose,Software%20Update%20on%20the%20right.&text=Set%20update%20options%20for%20installing%20system%20software%20and%20updates%20automatically.
