Brainworks and InDesign 2019 - White Box vs Black Box?

I have a user saying that the white box with the X on the bottom corner is supposed to be a black box with an Ad number.  Any idea what's going on here?

It appears that Brainworks must by a plug-in or extension which works with InDesign. You'll usually get faster results by contacting tech support for the Brainworks developer.
