We currently publish a monthly print magazine that is done in InDesign, it is then converted to PDF and send to print, we want to convert these into a digital magazine or to put it in my terms something people can open and page through on their computer, we want to be able to email it to clients. Our designer works with an old version of InDesign, she says she can not do this. How can we accomplish this?

from my experience, you could simply use the pdf and upload it to a flipbook converter if you want to have a digital magazine - afterwards, you can download the magazine or simply use the link which will direct people to your digital magazine. There are a ton of tools which allow you to do that for free.

Just Say No to flipbooks. It just adds annoyance and unnecessary file overhead.

Agreed. I hate them.

There is zero reason other than somebody's boss liking shiny new things.

why can't you just make an interactive .pdf and email it like BobLevine said. I work for a publisher house. we make interactive magazines that are interactive .pdf, document that go to a third party vendor like NEXTBOOK and i use IN5 also.

your version of indesign has nothing to do with you ability to email an interactive .pdf to another person. do you want to just attached  a document to an email, doing a mailchip email blast with a link to a file? more info is needed to help further.

Or....just email a PDF.
