How can I download Adobe InDesign 2020 or 2021 for macOS Catalina?

Hello everyone,

I have an Adobe Creative Cloud subscription and I'm trying to install InDesign on my iMac (Late 2013), running macOS Catalina 10.15.8.

Unfortunately, the latest versions of InDesign are not compatible with my operating system.

I have already contacted Adobe Support, and they successfully provided me with older versions of Illustrator and Photoshop, which I was able to install.

However, I haven't been able to obtain the correct installer for InDesign.

Does anyone know how I can download an official version of Adobe InDesign 2020 (15.x) or 2021 (16.x), compatible with macOS Catalina?

Thank you very much for your help!

Just to make sure: does it mean that Adobe refused to provide the installer for InDesign OR that you didn’t ask them?

Regardless, in addition to all other advice you already received:

Some people have success with installing newer macOS versions on unsupported Macs by using OCLP (look it up if interested). In which case you should be able to install an available Photoshop version. Be aware that the resulting performance may be unsatisfactory and the installation process isn’t user-friendly. For more info, google further and read appropriate forums (such as discussions on macrumors.com).

If you can’t upgrade the operating system, it’s time to buy a new computer. Yours is now 13 years old and it’s time to retire it.

I don’t recall anyone saying that Adobe had provided an unsupported earlier version of InDesign.

There is no official source for older installers. If Adobe Support provides the link then fine else on the public internet there are no genuine sources
