Question

How to hide a movie object on mouseover of different button?

In my digital publishing project, I have two hidden button and a movie elements that appear on Mouseover a separete button. Basically, I have a large rectangular shape with information (made into a Hidden-until-triggered button) and another set of images (grouped, and also made into a Hidden-until-triggered button) that all appear on Mouseover of the separete trigger button. They hide again upon Mouseoff of the trigger button. There is a third element, an .MP4 stock video that also appears on the same Mouseover > Animation [....mp4].  That all works fine. My problem is, I want that movie object to hide again on Mouseoff, as the other two elements hide. I'm unable to find how that is done. It appears on Mouseover and then stays after the other elements have hidden.

From what I can tell, I cannot have the movie enveloped inside a button element.

Any ideas how I can make that movie hide?

Thanks.

Avoid movies in PDFs. Then you have one problem less.

Not a question about PDF deployment.

Just to clarify, when you've created the InDesign document you've described, what output format are you proposing to use?

How do you expect any of this to work on a mobile device or tablet? I'd be rethinking this entire thing by dropping the mouseovers and buttons and use a multi state object.

I don't. That's not its purpose.

How about filling us in on exactly what you want to do instead of talking in riddles? We're here to help but without any real information, we're all wasting our time.
