Hi everyone,

This issue started to happen with the latest macOS Sonoma. We have raised this with Apple to see if they can fix this in one of their upcoming updates of macOS Sonoma.

Since this is dependent on a fix from Apple, we request your patience while we work with them to find resolution for this issue.

Meanwhile, if possible, try to attach a High-Resolution Monitor (like a 4K, 5K) to your Mac machine & switch to GPU (gets enabled by default) as the GPU feature is available when your Mac machine has a compatible GPU and it is attached to a High-Resolution monitor. If any of these conditions are not met, the GPU feature is disabled.

Another possible fix is reported here (set Live Screen Drawing to Immediate):

if you're on macOS Sonoma then it sounds like this issue - check the links in this thread:

https://community.adobe.com/t5/indesign-discussions/indesign-screen-bug/td-p/14119986

in brief: you may need to check or uncheck GPU performance, hide rulers, or revert back to Ventura as InDesign doesn't support Sonoma yet.

Hi John:

Could you please share a little bit more detail about your set up? What version of InDesign are you using and which operating system?
