Hi everyone,

This issue started to happen with the latest macOS Sonoma. We have raised this with Apple to see if they can fix this in one of their upcoming updates of macOS Sonoma.

Since this is dependent on a fix from Apple, we request your patience while we work with them to find resolution for this issue.

Meanwhile, if possible, try to attach a High-Resolution Monitor (like a 4K, 5K) to your Mac machine & switch to GPU (gets enabled by default) as the GPU feature is available when your Mac machine has a compatible GPU and it is attached to a High-Resolution monitor. If any of these conditions are not met, the GPU feature is disabled.

Updated to Sequoia V15.1.1 about two weeks ago and everything functioned normally.  As I opened an existing InDesign file and clicked in the text box the white flash started!  Click and hold and nothing but a white screen for the duration of the hold!!!  My question is how did this JUST NOW start happening???  If it was the OS update I should have had the problem since day one.  Have been working daily without issue until now! Am running a Mac Studio with M1 Max Chip.  Any advise would be much appreciated as I truly cannot and do not want to work this way!

You could say the same about InDesign, right? This discussion is more than a year old. It's best for you to start a new discussion with full system details so I'm going to lock this.

But, if you have Magnet installed, uninstall it and try turning GPU Performance off in your InDesign preferences.

I reverted back to Ventura ... had to back up and wipe my laptop (according to our IT dept).. it was not the most fun thing but couldn't wait for an update.
