In InDesign How To Link to Files on Teams

We have InDesign files on our company data drive which is storred on a server.
Some of the external content we link to from InDesign are storred in a MS Teams site.
When person 1 adds linked content, the path is something like C:\Users\person 1\company name\site name\folder\file name.extension.

If person 2 edits the InDesign document, the link is broken as InDesign seems to use adbolute links, so the linked content is pointing to a location (C:\Users\Person 1\… and not person 2.

How do we use InDesign with linked content on MS Teams or SharePoint, when the paths change for each user or is this not possible?

Thank you for your help.

Chris.

    Anubhav,
Thank you for your reply. I think I have tried this.
The Teams/SharePoint folder is called Preconstruction - 26-023 Parsonage Farm and I synched that folder on 2 machines with 2 different users.
I then set the linked pdf to Always keep on this device. I did just the file not the folders and everything in them.

The creator of the InDesign file is ok, but the second user gets the messagesaying some of the links could not be found, or whatever the message is.

If the second users relinks the file, it breaks for the creator.

We have InDesign on a Windows shared folder and only the linked files are on Teams/SharePoint!
In the article above, I get the impression the InDesign file and the linked files are in the same place.

I’ll try that, to see if that “fixes” the issue, but the InDesign files are quite big so not sure how well that would work going forward.

Thanks again. I will let you know.
