InDesign 2024 can not open if computer has been shut down

Hi

I have to uninstall and re-install InDesign if my computer has been shut down.  (Mac Pro). 

There is no problem as long as I dont turn of my computer. If it has been shut down, InDesign will not launch, before I uninstall and then re-install. 

Any ideas?

What operating system? Exact version number, please.

I agree with Bob's suggestion. Assuming you have the right combination of OS and ID version installed, I'd try restoring your InDesign preferences and caches. Here's how:
