Transparancy glitch in indesign??

Hi we are happy users of indesign for years, but today we discovered something strange/new in InDesign. When we use a drop shadow on a partly white background, the transparency of the drop shadow is different on the regular background then on the white shape background. We tried different documents, and transparency settings but nothing works. Is there a fix for this or will this be fixed in a future update?

Did you export to PDF/X-4 ?

If not how is your export setting defined?

In InDesign turn on Overprint or Separation Preview. In Acrobat check Preferences>Page Display and make sure Use Overprint Preview is set to Always.

Hi Rob thanks for your help! switching overprint preview on in indesign did the trick, now the document looks also as it should in acrobat. i think this checkmark turned off with an update of indesign because it was happening at all our computers. Thanks!
