Question

Why does ID ask to save when no changes have been made?

Seems most times I open a file to look at it, and then close it - it asks if Iwant to save changes. But no changes have been made!

What's going on here??

Thanks for any help.

If the file has the [Converted] suffix you can’t close without a Save/ Don’t Save dialog. You can script an overwrite see this:

Did you do anything? Including making a pdf or print? If so then it will ask you to save so it can remember your settings.

You asked the same question some days ago as well

What is different this time over? Are these files created on the same InDesign version?

Thanks, seems that thread didn't come to any conclusions either.

Hi @TypoMan23  Does the file’s titlebar have the [Converted] suffix or not?
