Denoise Not Applying When Syncing/Batch Editing Photos

I'm running into an issue with Lightroom CC's Denoise feature and wondering if anyone else has experienced this.

In the past, when I wanted to denoise an entire album, I would apply Denoise to the first image and then sync/paste the settings across the rest of the photos. Lightroom would take some time to process everything (sometimes several minutes or even hours), but it worked correctly.

Today, I tried the same workflow and noticed that although Lightroom indicates the photos have Denoise applied, the images clearly have not actually been processed. The Denoise check mark appears to be there, but there's no visible noise reduction.

So far I've tried:

  • Restarting Lightroom
  • Restarting my computer
  • Checking that Lightroom is up to date
  • Syncing settings from both Library and Develop views
  • Reapplying settings multiple times

Has anyone seen this behavior before? Is there a known fix, or could this be a bug introduced in a recent update?

I am using Lightroom Classic (15.3.1).

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I feel like I’m going crazy.  Is this thread for CC or classic?  The first comment says CC in the text then at the end says classic and I cannot for the life of me find a solution in CC.

This thread is for Lightroom Classic, as stated in the very first post. There is no software currently called Lightroom CC or CC. I believe you are referring to Lightroom, which is the proper name of the “other” software. Please post your question in the proper forum for Lightroom, which is the Lightroom (Ecosystem) forum.

So you have to click this FOR EVERY SINGLE PHOTO now? Is this true for adaptive masking as well?

No, you don’t. You can do this for ALL photos in your Library with one click. There is a command in one of the menus to do this, I leave it up to you to find the proper command as right now I am not at a computer which has Lightroom Classic on it.

Please show us a screen capture of the develop module so we can see the image and also see the expanded History panel on the left.

If its not too confidential, could you please make available one of the original RAW images by following these instructions.

I should add the first photos that I denoise works, it’s only when I batch that it’s suddenly not working. I would like to avoid having to go photo by photo.
