Develop module slow to load

Is anyone experiencing this as well? Develop module is horribly slow to load and spends 5-30 seconds making my whole computer lag out with jittery mouse movement.

I'm on a MBP with i7 and 32 GB RAM, Radeon Vega 20 GPU; LR 12 ran just fine.

I've deselected rendering previews in the background, but other settings remain unchanged. Is there something I'm missing?

When did you download your v13.0.1? Say more than a day ago? For MACOS installs, Adobe had a server issue that was fouling up installs.

Yeah it was a few days ago — I guess that's a reinstall, then?

Also they changed my post title to "Develop module" but it's Loupe, Grid.. literally my whole computer goes almost unusable for 5-20 secs whenever LR is doing anything taxing.

A statement from Adobe was as follows:

Clean Lightroom Install Procedure

Close Lightroom
Restart the computer
Use the Adobe Creative Cloud App to uninstall Lightroom
Restart the computer
Install Lightroom via the Creative Cloud App without launching any other programs.
Restart the computer
Launch Lightroom
Wait 5 minutes

If you've attempted the reinstall previously, you should follow this instruction set again.
