    Hello,

Sorry I was very very busy yesterday, so I could not answer you

    In summary :

    - All my pictures all in network on Synology since 2008

    - Since 2010 I have a copy via TimeMachine

    - Since 2013 everything was perfect with LR + PS until LR 8.1

    - Yes I see the full photo when I select Show in Finder

I have made one reinstall as explained  kentdesign

I can now try with your advice Use the Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems

    I will keep you posted

    Best regards

    Thierry

Oh! There are known problems with having your images on a NAS in the most recent versions of Lightroom. Lightroom has had on and off issues for many years with NAS stored images and Photoshop not opening an image is a very typical sign of it. This is probably the issue. I have no clue if this will get fixed anytime soon.

I don't understand this either. Only advice I can offer is to completely clean CC from your system using Adobe's Creative Cloud Cleaner tool: Use the Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems and then reinstall all the way including the creative cloud app.

This is a rather drastic measure though but it has helped me a few times solving installation issues. Can't guarantee it will work though.

    But I Can't uninstall :

If I choose Continue, the process stops with warning : you have some app that need Adode Creative Cloud

If I choose repair, Creative Cloud is going to reinstall

So the last chance is to reinit my computer ???

    Best regards

I think it wants you to first uninstall all the creative cloud apps you have. You can do this from the cleaner tool (just scroll down until you see Lightroom, Photoshop, etc.). You can also do this from the creative cloud app in the menu bar. In every item where it says open, hit the small triangle, select "manage" and then uninstall. After you have uninstalled all creative cloud apps, you should be able to run the cleaner tool.

    Do you use a Mac?

Adobe has a help page for this problem-

Edit In command doesn't open your image in Photoshop | Mac OS

    Regards. My System: Windows-11, Lightroom-Classic 15.3, Photoshop 27.5, ACR 18.3, Lightroom 9.3, Lr-iOS 10.4.0, Bridge 16.0.3 .

Wow I did not know that about how photoshop launches....I do not have a back up drive connected when I am working.

That might just be the solution IF Thierry has a back up cloned drive with photoshop on it and connected!

You only get that display if you edit non-raw images. If you select a raw image and do edit in Photoshop, it will simply open the image straight away.

But with or with RAW I got the same behavior : No window

    and PS starts without image

Which version of Lightroom do you have installed? The current release is 8.2. You have to check as the update doesn't always work right. Do so in the help menu->System info and quote the first line. There was a bug in 8.1 that made Photoshop not open. If you have 8.2, you should reset your preferences. This generally fixes this. See here: How to set Lightroom Classic CC preferences . Lastly if none of that works, try going into Photoshop preferences->general and enable Disable the Home screen and Use Legacy "New Document" interface.

    Hi Thierry,

the image should appear in PS.

When you have the photo in Lightroom and select Modifier dans Photoshop, do you get a window like this one?

    Hi Kent,

No, I don't get this window, PS starts on the fly

With the older version I got it
