Lightroom: 500px plugin unsupported and no longer works with "Classic" at all

As bad as the 500px plugin was, it is now completely unsupported and will not install on Classic 7.1. Is there any hope? This was an important workflow for me. Among all the other new problems like a completely useless import, this is near the top of the list.

Wow, they do seem to be burning their bridges. What a shame. At least Adobe's attempting to work on the performance issues, and there's some good things coming.

Here's the response I got from 500px. If there is some bad blood between them and Adobe, people should grow up and fix it. And no, I am not going to swap my workflow just because Mr. "Customer Excellence" said so. I may give up on LR because of recent bugs and performance problems, but I can find other websites than 500px to give my $ to. I suggest others do so as well.

Hi,

Thanks for reaching out.

Unfortunately the 500px Lightroom plugin is now unsupported, meaning our CX Team (Support) is no longer available for assistance or troubleshooting with old or existing versions. The 500px Lightroom plugin can no longer be downloaded and 500px cautions the usage of the 500px Lightroom plugin as this product is deprecated and will eventually be removed.

We suggest the following article here for troubleshooting tips:

I would check out Adobe Bridge and Photoshop for managing an effective photo workflow.

Best regards,

Robbie

"We need Jeffrey Freidl to step in, I guess."

That may be unlikely, given how they treated him some years ago: http://regex.info/blog/2011-09-20/1852

Yeah, I saw that. Despite the problems, it was still working but now won't install at all. We need Jeffrey Freidl to step in, I guess.

Sadly, it's 500px who decided to pull the plug on the plug-in, so it's not looking hopeful unless you can convince them to change their minds. https://support.500px.com/hc/en-us/articles/204728107-I-m-having-Lightroom-plugin-problems-
