Lightroom 8.2 "Waiting for Connection"

I have read all of the forms and all of the tips in order to fix this issue. This was working just fine a few months ago and now I keep getting the "Waiting for Connection" in the upper left corner of Lightroom Classic. The photos sync and work just find with Lightroom CC on iOS and Mac, but I need the plugins on my Lightroom Classic.

I have used https://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/activation-network-issues.html and logged in and out of lightroom and all Adobe apps, deleted lightroom and re-installed, verified my internet connections, and rebooted my computer a few times.

Is there anyone that has found a fix for this?

3) Also, I just launched my MAC Book, and a updated Adobe Creative Coud Desktop app just go installed. Not that this is a solutiion, but it reminds me. What is your Adobe Creative Cloud Desktop app version?? (4.8.0.421 ??)

One oddity in the system information, right after the dispaly size, and before the folder locations, I would espect to see info about the GPU (does not matter if use GPU is on or off)

But of course the v 8.2 is all wrong as others have mentioned

You may want to use the Adobe Cretive Cloud Desktop app to manage the Lightroom Classic CC, Uninstall it, then reinstall (hopefully 8.1). Yes, I know you have done this before, but v8.2 is deffiantly wrong, and GPU not listed is defiantly wrong

Using google on Lightroom waiting fir connection, and a few other searc terms yields some odd solutions, many sound like bull. But a few odd ones look like worth at least asking, if not for any other reason as to confirm them as a Nope.

Right click on the sync upper left, as to select pause. Close LR, launch LR. What happens?

Are you on Ethernet or WiFi, one person claims sync will not work on a WiFi, disconnected WiFi, connected to Ethernet, worked. I would think something wrong with that persons WiFi

Some state to delete the sync.lrdata, then restart LR. You might want to avoid that until another more capable member comes back and yells bull, or states safe to at least try.

Some talk of making sure your network connection does not use a proxy, but then why is your Adobe Creative Cloud Desktop happy, and you were able to get that Pong responce.

I've tried to get ahold of Adobe Chat, but they are not available ever. I've tried literally everything, except for ethernet, since the router is on the other side of the house and this is a desktop.

For amusement I booted up the Dell laptop and it syncs with that, but not Mac OS.

1) On your MAC, how about the system information. In Lightroom click on Help, cllick on System Information, click on Copy. Paste that into response.

So, perhaps look at your internet security your firewall(s) your anti-virus.

If this is say a MAC Book perhaps a visit to the Apple store.

And of course, their is always contact with Adobe

The release of LR Classic 8.2 was premature. If you open the Creative Cloud Desktop App (CC DTA) and check for updates it will now list LR C CC 8.1 as an update.

The problem you are having is more than likely related to this premature (Beta) release of 8.2.

I did the update myself but haven't used LR fully yet.

There was also a new release of PS 20.0.3 and ACR. In the CC DTA PS is listed as Not Installed, the button says Install, and there is no record of ACR ever being installed.

The issue I’m having was with all previous 7.X versions as well. I updated to the current 8 version in hopes it would remedy the issue I’m having.

Then this, more than likely, has something to do with your internet security, Firewall, program. It is not allowing LR to get out to the net.

Everything is signed in and I have tried to right click on a collection, even one that synced before and it gives me no syncing options. But when I use Lightroom CC on the computer it works fine, it’s only Lightroom Classic which is the one I need to use.
