Lightroom Classic CC Keeps Crashing!

Hey Adobe Forum,

I recently updated to Lightroom Classic CC last week. And, yes, it's faster. Yes, it's better. Until it crashes. And crashes. Then crashes again. And crashes, again. And, again. And.....Yep, you guessed it; again and again. In one sitting, in one day, in about a six hour time period, Lightroom Classic CC has "quit unexpectedly" EIGHT TIMES. And now, everyday, it crashes about every half hour or so. What's up guys? This is really janking up my workflow! It saves my current work when it crashes. so, I'm not losing my work. But, I'm losing my patience, tolerance, and my professional respect for this application. Constant crashing and reopening of Lightroom is frustrating, aggravating, disturbing my workflow and quite frankly, STUPID. Is anyone else having this issue? And, if so, have you found a resolution?

Same issue here.
It is not even letting me reach to the unchecking box. It crashes even before it starts !

I had the same issue.  It also did not help to manually edit the config file.

The only solution I found was to completely remove and reinstall Adobe Creative Cloud and all associate applications...

My system is a 6 month old Intel Quad Core machine with a GTX1060 graphics card and a Z270E mother board.

Turning off the GPU did not help.

Mine seems to be specific to the color module. Frustrating. I live in LR and it's really becoming obnoxious.

I did do the above advised unchecking of graphic processor and it seemed to work. Will let you know if it keeps happening.

Bob Frost's solution worked for me.

Edit>Preferences>Performance

Under camera raw at the top of this screen, uncheck "Use Graphics Processor" and then click OK.

I run Lightroom on a Dell laptop that is about 4 years old, the latest LRCC update kept crashing the whole system until I did this workaround fix.  It is much more stable now.

LR was working last week. I updated to (I think) 7.1, started having crashes, each time I went to the print module. I installed the earlier 7.0 version, had a crash on next opening. I won't use it if I can't print.

Update: I have uninstalled (again) and am now using lr 6.0 successfully.

Don't know if this will help but I ended up downloading and reinstalling LR Classic CC and it's been fine since.

I tried disabling the Graphics card but made no difference. I have two  4 K monitors so not sure whether or not to enable or disable it. I will enable it for now and see how it goes.....

stufordgt40's solution helped. At least it launched now. Hope it continues working! Thinking of switching to someother product since Adobe is surely prioritizing the CC vesion more than Classic now.

I am experiencing the same issue with the crashes, it seems to happen when I'm importing new images. Any ideas how to fix this issue?

Keeps happening to me too.
I had it crash on me, while importing photos, 8 times in the past 30 minutes.

I uninstalled it and installed Lightroom Classic again.
Apparently that fixed the issue.

Nope, it keeps crashing still.
Just crashed again mid import.

Looks like a serious problem. Mine kept crashing when I exited and again when I started it again - it loaded up OK after a few attempts. However it has now crashed again and the desktop shortcut has gone blank and it will not start at all.

I'm relieved to see that it 's not just me....

Oh man, me too. this happens alot during import. It quits in the middle. When i reopen the catalog it looses what it had already imported and i have to start from scratch. Terrible when i have heaps of jobs i have to go through from the weekend.
