Lightroom Classic won't start any more

I've downloaded Creative Cloud and installed. I then installed Lightroom Classic through the Creative Cloud. Whenever I try to launch Lightroom Classic it immediately closes shortly after the splash screen appears.

I am running a brand new AppleMacBook Air M2 computer with Ventura 13.1.

I have searched the forum for solutions but the files suggested to be renamend or deleted do not exist, probably because they were present only in older software versions.

I have no idea what to do. Removing Lightroom and CC and subsequent re-intallation do not work.
