Hi, I have a question about Lightroom~the pictures in library mode and develop mode are very different looking~much darker and magenta in develop mode vs library mode. I did recalibrate my monitor and it still does the same thing. How can I fix this?

First, the previews seen in Develop are unique and differ from all other modules. They are the most visually accurate too. Next, you should always view previews at 1:1 or greater zoom ratio to get the best, most accurate previews.

Now that said, the two shouldn't massively differ you may have issues such as with your GPU or with a display profile. Can you zoom into a preview at 1:1 in both modules and show us a screen capture.

Hi there,

Sorry that you're the image in the Develop and the Library module is not matching in Lightroom Classic. We're here to help.

Which version of Lightroom Classic and macOS are you using? What type of preview are you having? You should compare a 1:1 view, which maps precisely one image pixel to one screen pixel. Click the badge in the top left corner of the thumbnail and choose Build Standard preview or 1:1 preview.

How are you calibrating your monitor? Please share the screenshots so that we can look at the difference.

Try to disable the GPU. Go to Lightroom > Preferences > Performance, and uncheck Use graphics processor.

Check out this thread which discusses something similar: https://community.adobe.com/t5/lightroom-classic-discussions/unbearable-difference-between-library-and-develop/m-p/11538378.

Let us know if this helps.

Hi,

Thanks for your reply. My laptop is a macOS Mojave Version 10.14.6 and Lightroom is 10.4. I calibrate my monitor with Spyder5Pro and I have also tried using different color profiles but they all do the same thing. I was not using a 1:1 preview so I switched to that and it does the same thing. I also disabled the GPU and that didn't work either. I will upload a couple photos, as you can see, the develop mode is quite a bit darker than library mode.
