I just installed the latest version of Lightroom (v 12) on my macOS and every time I try to use the masking tool it shuts off. I have uninstalled and am currently installing an older version b/c I have to have it for my work tomorrow.  Does anyone have a fix for this??  Thanks!

Try resetting your Lightroom preferences:

Quit Lightroom Classic.
MacOS: Press and hold the Shift + Option keys.
Windows: Press and hold the Shift + Alt keys.
While holding down the keys, launch Lightroom Classic.
When asked, select "Yes".

Didregard, I see you said you were rolling back 🙂

For tomorrow, I suggest you roll back to V11.5. You can do that in the Creative Cloud application. Click on the three dots at the right end of the Lightroom Classic line.
