New Mac M1: Lightroom 6 (6.10) not opening at all; Lightroom 5 (5.7.1) very slow

Old lady here so please be patient 🙂

I called Adobe and they sent me here.

I bought a new Macbook Pro (M1, Ventura 13.0) a few weeks ago and all data from my old Macbook was transferred to the new one, including my Lightroom 5 (5.7.1) and Lightroom 6 (6.10). L5 is working with Rosetta on my new Macbook but very slowly (slower than on my ancient 10 year old MacBook Pro), but L6 (6.10) doesn't open at all. It opened while I was still at the Apple Store right after the data migration, but I wasn't able to open it again once I got home (I get the following message: "Adobe Application Manager, required to start youre trial, is missing or damaged".)

My L5 and L6 were one-time purchases, and I'm not interested in a subscription.

L6 is already installed in 2 of my old computers, and L5 is already installed in only 1. Could this be the reason why L5 works on my new laptop but L6 doesn't? Is there a limit of how many times Lightroom can be installed? I don't want to uninstall L6 in one of the old computers unless I know for sure that it will work on the new laptop.

Is there a way to make L6 work, or it's simply not compatible with Mac M1?

One last question: Is there a way to make L5 run at a decent speed on the Mac M1?

Lightroom 6 won't work. Its license activation manager is 32 bits, and your computer only runs 64 bits applications. Lightroom 5 did not have activation yet, so that is why it can still run (in Rosetta emulation). But this is not very efficient so it runs slowly. Do yourself a favor and get a subscription to the Photography plan.
