P: (Early Access) Content Authenticity Initiative (CAI) for (CR & LrClassic)

I am having serious issues exporting images. I am repeatedly getting the content credentials failure message even though I have it turned off. How can I work like this? Please advise

100% failure today in exporting 75 files. Then, all of a sudden, it’s exporting 50, then only 3 more exports to get them all. The next attempt took 6 exports to get 80 files with the last 7 taking 4 of the exports…

My LRC is a mess - often an export won’t work because Credentials is turned on in the preset - what a pain and for this we have to pay a subscription. AND now the link between LRC and Pshop is unstable - sometimes works, sometimes doesn’t - getting pretty fed up with Adobe.

If I get the “couldn’t apply credentials” message, I try a few more time to export and then it works. ..as if Adobe is turning on and off access to one of it’s servers

LR 15.5.1 automatically enables Content Credentials regardless of the user’s setting in Export, as part of an Adobe-wide initiative to align with laws and policies in some US states and the EU:

A workaround is to roll back to LR 15.5 and disable Content Credentials in the Export settings. Adobe hasn’t announced what changes were introduced in LR 15.5.1 (no user-reported bugs were fixed), and it may be that 15.5.1 was released solely to comply with this Adobe-wide policy.

I have the option to include content credentials turned OFF and I’m still constantly getting the “couldn’t apply content credentials” error during export, which means that the files are not exported at all. Since last week, I now have to restart lightroom and toggle with the settings to get anything to export. Again, I’m being inhibited from exporting anything due to a bug in a setting that I supposedly have disabled!! 

Garbage feature. I did not ask for this. I’m even considering working on my laptop with an older version of Lightroom Classic installed just to avoid this bs until they fix it in the next update or so. Add this one to all the other recent ‘features’ in Lightroom that pander increasingly to influencers, content creators, and casual users who will follow anything that has an AI buzzword attached to it rather than those seeking to actually advance their photographic capabilities or hone a professional workflow. Continually disappointing.

The only solution is to export without content credentials, it doesn’t work with social media and also with just the name of the photographer…

What am I missing or what can I do or can you do to solve this?

Still having issues applying when exporting from LRC to a simple jpg file. 

Sad that the feature does not work properly , and does not apply credential on photos edited inl ightroom correctly . pretty annoying fro cosplay photos  and animal photography , no reason , no explanation , just fail . pretty annoying and disapointing 

Starting today, all exports with content credentials are failing for me. If I go to the export preset manually, hit “Refresh” on the Content Credentials panel, then export, it will work. I save the settings to the export preset, try again, and it works exactly one time. This is true of ALL export presets that include Content Credentials. Lightroom Classic 15.5.1, MacOS 26.6.2 (25G83)
