Since the latest versions of Lightroom Classic and MacOS the masking of people always shows “No people found” – even on photos where it was working before.

@BDWNashville, the evidence is strongly pointing to a buggy graphics driver released by Apple for Intel Macs with AMD GPUs.  See here for more details:

    Hey @droscoe

Thanks so much for sharing your OS version—that’s really helpful. To better understand what might be causing this, could you also share the exact ACR version you’re using? You can find it in Photoshop or Lightroom under Help > System Info. Just copy the details into a text file and attach it to your reply.

Are you using an Intel Mac?  Please do the LR menu command Help > System Info and copy/paste the entire contents here so we can see exactly which versions of hardware and software LR thinks you're running and important LR options that are set.

Are you using Windows? If so, check the website of your GPU manufacturer for driver updates. If you use a Ndvia GPU, then make sure you install the Studio drivers, not the Game Ready drivers.

Lightroom is no longer able to detect people in my photos, while using the mask module. When I choose, “Select People”, it says “No People Found”, when there is obviously people in the photo.

I have the same problem. I can't select the character because it's invisible, and I can't remove the background because it's impossible. I've tried everything, including deleting and reinstalling, and cleaning the library. The problem is serious and significantly limits my work. The problem appeared after the last Photoshop update... I see that the AI is having a problem.
