Presets are missing and I can't access photos

I just updated my Lightroom Classic tonight along with updating my MacBook. When everything restarted and I opened Lightroom all my presets are gone and I can't access my photos. It says "File not found" when I click on it. I went to Preference>Presets>And check show compatablie presets, but nothing happens. Not sure what to do!

//edit/ a redo on my reply

Did you update or upgrade LrC?

Did you update the MACOS or did you replace the MA?

The difference in words, update vs upgrade is important, as an upgrade of LrC will result in an upgrade of the catalog, and when LrC does that, sometimes things go wrong, sometime the wrong catalog is upgraded (either an old one, or a very very old one as in v1). And a bad upgrade of a catalog can cause photos to be missing, edits to be missing, and presets to be missing (if you store presets with catalog, on that last one)

A new MAC vs simply updating an existing MAC OS is important as how does one migrate the catalog, and how does one migrate the photos, is an issue.
