Snapshots 'From Lr mobile' being created while editing in Lightroom Classic

While editing in Lightroom Classic v12.4 with Camera Raw v15.4 (latest versions of both) and NOT using Lr mobile on any devices, multiple snapshots are appearing in Lightroom Classic.  All of the snapshots are labeled "From Lr mobile."  I have recently shared some collections, but the images I am editing are not shared.

 

macOS Ventura v13.4.1 (c)

Lightroom Classic v12.4

I also see the same multiple "From Lr mobile" listing, but in my History panel! But no Snapshots.

I do use Mobile versions of Lr, and suspect my History panel is just reflecting every change I make to the image in Lr- (Desktop or Mobile)

Perhaps a reset of the Preferences file will fix your experience with the Snapshot panel.

Do your Snapshots all look different when you select each?

As I understand it, "From Lr Mobile" in the history panel in normal when editing on Lr Mobile.  But the snapshots are not.  The issue occurred on a small number of images from the same timeframe, so I'm guessing that even though Lr Mobile was not in use, it was running in the background on one of our devices.  That said, I don't even see a way to create snapshots in Lr Mobile.

 

Highlighting the snapshots on an image shows different edits, so they do seem to be actual snapshots taken at different times.

I have no explanation for the "from mobile" snapshots. It must have been a corruption of the LrC catalog.

Lightroom-mobile (including Lightroom-Desktop) do not have 'snapshots', but the do allow 'Versions' of an image.

I tested with Versions created in Lr-Desktop, and Lr-Classic indicated the versions as steps in the LrC History panel.

Let's hope it was a "one off", and not a bug in LrC.
