Question

Unable to launch 12.5

Lighroom Classic 12.5 on MacOS Sonoma on a MacBook M2 locks up on launch

Just dead on the water - sent crash reports, file bug, had chats with support but so far nothing helpful from Adobe

Am I the only one who is having issue?  The support page only mentions an issue with watermarks, nothing serious compared to this?

Same with me, tried to roll back to an earlier version of Lightooom, no success, tried Sonoma 14.1.1 no success, been on a support call, no success.

I'm having the exact same problem with Lightroom Classic ver 13.0.1 and I'm not happy at all.  I knew better than to "upgrade" to Sonoma. I KNEW BETTER, it was too new, but I did it anyway and here I am, along with countless THOUSANDS of other people. Never again.

Please do not post in an unrelated thread, for your own sake. Very few people will even read your post, because this thread about Lightroom Classic 12.5 has become obsolete since Lightroom Classic was upgraded.

Yes same issue, and quite frankly, I was not going to update yet, but with my last operating systems update, it must have turned back on auto update, so Monday morning found it on my machine.  I did try it right away and it launched once, but now just hangs.

In my case the fix was to delete the preferences.  Lightroom Classic seems to be working fine after that (a few minutes back).

I have the same issue - LRC not syncing collections.  Newly created folders get transferred to the cloud, however the photos do not.  I'll try your advice.

As my original reply was not a solution, and no longer actually applies post v13. I have archived it into a text file (attached)
