AI Noise Reduction weird pixels error

Anytime I try to use the AI noise reduction tool, it gives me this. It started about a month ago, I was able to use it just fine before that. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the application, restarting my computer, etc. I've seen people have other issues with the tool, but not this. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Thanks for sharing your system info — it looks quite beefy, and everything seems to be in order there!

To rule out any potential GPU-related communication issues between Lightroom and your NVIDIA A2000 GPU, could you please try turning off GPU performance in Lightroom? You can do this by going to Preferences > Performance and turning off Use Graphics Processor.

Additionally, could you confirm the file format you’re working with? If possible, please share a sample file and a small screen recording of the steps leading to this behavior. This will help us pinpoint the issue and find a solution more efficiently.

Looking forward to your update!

Best,

Hi! I don't know if there was an update between my last answer and now or if turning off the GPU performance and turning it back on worked, but it seems to be working fine now. Thanks, and sorry for the delayed response!

Hi @Bethany26580871fdg4, thanks for reporting this issue and sharing the screenshot!

To help us troubleshoot further, could you please do the following:

  • Share your System Info:

    • Open Lightroom

    • Go to Help > System Info.

    • Save as a .txt file, and upload the file here.

  • Important Notes for AI Denoise:

    • We recommend denoising the image before applying other tools, including AI masks and Content-Aware, as using Enhance might change the result of the tools used.
    • Once the image has been enhanced with Denoise or Super Resolution, it can't be processed again. However, enhanced Raw Details DNGs can be processed with Denoise.
    • Denoise is a GPU intensive feature. Therefore, a faster GPU is recommended to enhance images quickly.

Supported image formats for Raw Details

Raw details are applied to the following types of source images:

  • Bayer and X-Trans mosaic raw files.
  • Linear DNGs (including HDR and pano DNG images previously created inside Lightroom and Camera Raw)
  • Smart proxies (DNG proxies)
  • Monochrome raw files (such as Leica M MONOCHROM)
  • Canon sRAW/mRAW files
  • Nikon small raw files
  • Fujifilm (non X-Trans Raw files)
  • Sony AQR
  • Pentax Pixel Shift Resolution (PSR) files
  • Foveon cameras
  • Apple ProRaw DNGs
  • Samsung Galaxy Expert Raw

Unsupported file formats for Raw Details
Raw Details does not apply to the following types of source images:

  • Non-raw files such as JPEGs, TIFFs, and HEICs
  • Four-color cameras
  • Video files

Once we have your system info, we’ll check compatibility and help you resolve this glitch. Looking forward to your update!

Best,

Anshul Saini
