Lightroom not importing pictures in the same folder that I have my pictures

Hello, I do not know if I must have changed any of the settings, but originally when I transferred my pictures from my card to a folder on my laptops internal drive, and then imported them using Lr's import function it would  always import and keep all the pictures in the same folder without me having to do anything. Now it dumps all the imported pictures in the main C/Pictures directory. I do not want this since it is frustrating to change the directory everytime manually. I want it to go back to how it used to be. I am using the most up to date version of the app.
