Lightroom unable to photo stack / “Open as Layers in Photoshop” not working on Mac

Hello I am hoping some one can help me. I photo stack alot and recently I have found Light room will not allow me to do so. It will not allow me to pick two raw photos to merge to layers in photoshop. I have done this many times in the past; with updates have they taken this option away? I have a Mac.

Your operating system and version.
The versions of Photoshop and Lightroom you're using.
Whether the same issue occurs with the latest versions of Photoshop and Lightroom.
A few screenshots or, preferably, a short video demonstrating the issue.
