Adobe Connector for Chat GPT can't generate images

I’m experiencing the exact same issue as well. The Adobe Connector for ChatGPT keeps failing, and I’m unable to generate or edit images through the connector.

It seems this may not be an isolated case.

Could you connect me with the team handling that issue, or explain how to submit my diagnostic details to them? OpenAI specifically requested that Adobe inspect its server logs, which I cannot access myself.

I am having the same issue as of September 14, 2026.

Adobe connects, but initialization and Lightroom searches fail with “MCP streamable transport probe failed with HTTP 403 from adobe.io.” I’ve disconnected/reconnected and tried both Google and Adobe username/password sign-ins. Have revoked and re-allowed access both within ChatGPT and Adobe, with no success.

My environment:

• ChatGPT Plus, using Work mode in Chrome on Windows.
• Location: Poland.
• The Adobe plugin is installed and its tools are visible to ChatGPT.

What we have verified:

• Both adobe_mandatory_init and image_list_presets return the same HTTP 403 error.
• My Adobe Account page shows OpenAI under Connected apps, with access granted on 13 September 2026.
• The listed permissions include signing in, uploading files, viewing and managing Adobe files, and maintaining access.
• The separate Adobe Express plugin successfully returns help guidance, while the tested Adobe plugin calls fail.

The error occurs during the connection probe, even for a preset-list request that requires no image upload. This suggests a connection or authorization issue, but I cannot confirm the root cause.

Could you please add this report to the existing investigation and clarify:

1. Is there a supported workaround or a specific Adobe account/profile setting to check?
2. Does the integration require any additional entitlement for these requests?
3. Is there an update on the fix or a public issue reference we can follow?

Adobe for ChatGPT is installed and authenticated successfully. ChatGPT can enumerate the Adobe tools, but every actual Adobe tool call fails before execution with:

My Adobe account itself appears healthy:

• Firefly Pro Plus is active
• 10,000 / 10,000 generative credits available
• Firefly works normally on Adobe’s website
• Adobe authentication from ChatGPT completes successfully
• Adobe tools are exposed to ChatGPT

I have already reconnected and reauthorized the Adobe plugin, but the MCP transport still returns the same 403.

Since Adobe previously confirmed in this thread that this is a known issue, could you please provide an update on the internal ticket/status and current ETA?

This is still reproducible on September 7 and appears to fail at the Adobe ↔ ChatGPT MCP transport/authorization layer before the requested Adobe operation is executed.

The plugin is installed and enabled, its dependencies resolve correctly, and repeated disconnect/reconnect attempts do not fix it. Please check server-side MCP transport authorization and account entitlement.

I have been experiencing this exact HTTP 403 / “MCP streamable transport probe failed” issue intermittently for roughly a month—not only since this thread was opened. It has occurred many times across repeated attempts. Disconnecting/reconnecting the Adobe connector, restarting ChatGPT/Codex Desktop, reinstalling the connector, and signing in again have not provided a stable fix. Sometimes it works briefly, then the same 403 returns.

The same Adobe account and images work in Photoshop on the web, while the official Adobe connector fails before image processing begins. This is blocking an ongoing batch image-editing workflow.

Is this still an active known incident? Has the expected resolution window changed, and is there a ticket or status page we can follow? Thank you.

Though I have to admit that

makes it seem likely that Photoshop is involved.

I just don’t think that most of the Photoshop users who are active on this Forum would be able to help with this issue because they are (largely) working with Photoshop itself.
