Camera Raw 16.0 missing Basic tool feature and now runs slower than 15.3

Spend the last hours trying to get the new 16.0 ACR to work, its now much slower (even with the help of agent). It also is now completely missing the Basic tool panel that was there before now replaced with 3 really pointless menus all which have to be clicked on individually, I cant be the only one who used basic for 90% of the editing i needed now its conveluded and will add hours onto my editing each week.

Can we please do the following

1. Fix the speed issue, swapping between edits in ACR was instant for me now takes a second per photo (which will add up when i edit 1-2k photos a week)

2. Bring back the Basic panel as having it all under the one place makes total sense, why anyone in UI/UX thought it was a good idea is beyond me even the new folders arent in the same order.

3. Make it manditory to have the exact previous version available for download should one of these updates be not designed well/ not work properly. As I only got 15.0 and i wanted the one I had which was 15.3.

Can someone get back to me on these issues? Spent all morning trying to sort this rather than working.

Very rarely as this is a user-to-user forum.

Adobe employees sometimes reply in topics that are marked as either ideas or bug reports – but this is neither, it's a discussion between end users.

I'm sure the 20 upvotes show others arent happy either. And best get used to it? Bit of a copout answer to paying £50 a month for a suite of software.

@Cameron333138087xv2 Don't see how it's a copout answer. I gave my opinion based on beta testing ACR since it was added to Photoshop, at no extra cost, just like Bridge when it was added (I guess Adobe can still argue they aren't charging for the two; me, I don't care).

Are the 20 voting because it's slow, or don't like the fact there are now two distinct panels, instead of one? Why not roll all panels into one? I constantly use both Light and Effects.

If I was going to vote for anything, I would vote for a refinement: once user opens both Light and Color, make them sticky not only in different sessions, but when user opens another panel in Single mode, and then either Light or Color (only one opens).

I prefer the new UX. I doubt if it's going back to the previous Basic panel layout, so best to get used to it. There are various ways to keep both Light and Color open: Cmd-click second is one method.

While waiting for Shantanu Narayen to reply, I suggest you search for: download camera raw older versions 15.3 (or version X)
