Please... can anyone tell me about minimum configuration of graphic card using Camera Raw last version (17.1.0.2100) - Using "remove reflections" PC TURNS OFF!!

It’s probably too early to determine a minimum GPU for this feature, because it is not yet debugged. It’s better to wait until the feature makes it out of Technology Preview status into an officially released feature, because by that time Adobe is either likely to have fixed the bug that makes your PC crash with that feature (if they do this, you won’t need a new GPU), or, if they determine people need a better GPU for this feature they might update their official GPU requirements.

It might also help Adobe if you report your PC crashing problem in the official community thread about the reflection removal Technology Preview…actual Adobe engineers are responding in that thread, including some senior engineers whose names you see in the Camera Raw software credits. The thread is here:

Other users in that thread have reported various types of failures with different GPUs, so it’s clear Adobe has work to do on compatibility with more GPUs.

I understand perfectly what you say !! .. but, since I'm using the definitive version of Photoshop (and not the beta!) I thought it should work without problems. Also because, I saw some videos of Unmesh Dinda working with this plug-in a to him works perfectly. Anyway, thanks for the information! ,. I will immediately go to look at what they say in the connection!

Unmesh makes some of the best Photoshop videos, I like his work. I just watched his new video of reflection removal, and around 30 seconds in he does show you that it isn’t available until you enable a Technology Previews option in Camera Raw. Adobe wants it to be an intentional decision to enable it so that people see that it is not available by default because it is currently at the preview/testing stage.

Yes, this can be a confusing thing sometimes. Unfinished features can be found in more than one way.

Sometimes they are only available in a public beta.
Sometimes they are available in the normal release, labeled “early access,” “beta,” or “technology preview.”
Sometimes you have to enable them, sometimes they are already enabled.

So there is not just one way that unfinished features are available.

Reflection removal is even more confusing because it is not actually in Photoshop. It’s in Camera Raw, which is a plug-in module used by multiple applications. So reflection removal is a technology preview feature (unfinished), but it available in a regular release of Camera Raw, a centrally installed single module that can be opened from both the regular and public beta releases of Bridge, Photoshop, After Effects, or any other application that can open Camera Raw.

Hi Fran. You are not the first person to ask about the new Reflections tool. IIRC that person had a small laptop with onboard Intel GPU, which did indeed seem to be below minimum spec. I am not sure if Adobe will have updated the minimum spec page to account for Remove Reflections, but I do rather suspect that if you are asking the question, your system is not going to handle it. How do you get on with Neural and Parametric filters? They are also hard on system resources.

If you open Photoshop and go Help > System Info > Copy and paste the results to this thread, we'll have a better idea, and can maybe get one of the Development Team to take a look.

Generally, a fairly recent dedicated GPU like an RTX 3050 or newer/higher. It should work with an older model, but it will be slow. Integrated GPUs are hit or miss. It may work or it may not.

But it could also be a driver problem, or conflicting dual GPUs. If you post the full Help > System Info from Photoshop we can probably be more specific.
