Question

Double click on "handle" in brightness panel doesn't reset to zero.

Photoshop 27.4.0 / Windows 11 / 64-bit.

First of all, I already files another “bug like this”, but I can't find it in the new forum.

It's also removed from my profile and the URL isn't valid anylonger.

https://community.adobe.com/t5/photoshop-ecosystem-bugs/vibrance-panel-doesn-t-support-quot-zero-quot-when-sliding/idc-p/15622631#M130313

The problem was that I was NOT able to select “0” in the vibrance panel, under certain circumstances. The bug was acknowledged by the Adobe staff and is, for months, under investigation.

Also I was able to select “-0” (negative zero) in the same panel. Both had something to do with the new, modern interface.

In the latest version of Photoshop, there's another problem with the panel. This time in brightness.

Double clicking the handle doesn't reset it's value to zero. Other panels (and even contrast, in the same panel) does reset the value.

See screen recording below (which also show the -0 and “hardly able to select 0” bug).

Hey, @Sawiro Takoni. Thanks for the detailed post. This behavior is corrected in the current release of Photoshop (beta), available now. Please feel free to try it from the Creative Cloud desktop app > Apps > Beta apps section.

    Thanks!

In Photoshop go to Edit>Preferences>Technology Previews, uncheck Enable Modern User Interface, restart Photoshop and see if that corrects the Brightness/Contrast dialog issue.

Yeah, that does solve it, like all the other bugs I did discover, file and report with the `Modern GUI`.

Someone from the staff also reported back this was a (now) well known issue. But the issue with the brightness-slider is new and introduced @27.4.0 (that's why I am reporting it once again).
