Eraser tool not working

I've been using the eraser tool in PhotoShop all day, every day, and it suddenly stopped working. I'm on the correct layer, no layers are locked, and the other tools work. I've tried closing and reopening the file and restarting the application. Any thoughts as to what may be going on here?

Try resetting the Eraser tool. Right-click the tool in the options bar (not Tools panel) and choose Reset tool. It could be the opacity or a blending mode, for instance.

would someone please help me with eraser tool of PS-2024. just  a click and it removes everthing in 45 degree angle. first 2 lines have 13 pixels and next 7 line of 1 pixel.

I have done everything mentioned in this page, like reset and all.

@Sri Nrisimha what are you using for an input device? If using a tablet/pen that looks like an input error.

My erazer is just doing dots, cannot erase while dragging the brush or block.

Resetting the tool, and all tools didn't help.

Would greatly appreciate help,

I'm not using a mouse to right click. Who uses a mouse?

I'm confused by your question. I just searched this thread and you are the only one who used the word "mouse". You didn't say what device you are using, but you can "right-click" with a trackpad, Apple Pencil, stylus, et cetera. Use Help for your device if you don't know how to change the settings, as this is not a Photoshop question.

@Rich31668678dfqc can you show a screenshot of your workspace with the image and layers panel open and the eraser selected.
