Do you mean "Filter Gallery Window"? I'm using MacOS Monterey 12.7.6 on a mid 2015 Macbook Pro. running Ps 2025 v 26.10 The Gallery looks ok, no black preview window.

See https://community.adobe.com/t5/photoshop-ecosystem-discussions/filter-gallery-turns-my-images-black/td-p/13709717 and see if it the suggestions work.

Hi @douglasv71588254, welcome to the Photoshop Community forum! The community has many great suggestions, so please let us know if you are able to fix your issue based on those recommendations. If you still experience a missing filter window, we could use some more details.

Can you send your system info, a screen recording of your issue, and a numbered list of the exact steps needed to replicate the issue? You can find your system info by going to Help > System Info, copying and pasting it into a text file, and attaching it here. Thanks! ^CH

Is this the window of which you speak?

Are filter groups grayed out? I can understand missing, but black?? As Ged_Traynor says, a screenshot is worth a 1,000 words.

@douglasv71588254 you need to provide a lot more information in order for someone to be able to help you, what version of Photoshop and macOS are you using, can you post a screenshot of the Photoshop interface to highlight the issue
