Generative Fill "The service is not responding. Please check your internet and try again"

Generative Fill was working fine all this while and last week, but for past few days, it has been a slow process (taking more than 5mins to generate results) and sometimes, I'll get the error:

"The service is not responding. Please check your internet and try again" a few times and sometimes the results appeared after 5mins or more. Any idea what's the cause here or solution?

-Internet is running fine

-Had tried reinstall/upgrade/downgrade PS but not much difference

-Allowed firewall access for PS

Just a note for those still having problem. Some workaround that works me, including:

-using Photoshop Beta instead to use generative AI fill (this is far more stable)

-use another network, eg. mobile network/different service provider works too.

I have also been having this problem (Mac OS). Tried getting a new WiFi router (internet speed is good); tried turning off firewall; no help. But, after reading other people saying "no it's definitely your internet", I did experiment with using my iPhone's personal hotspot (with Bluetooth; not WiFi obviously) and, miraculously, Photoshop Generative AI works fine. Weird! So, I don't have a solution, but I do have a workaround, to switch networks when I need to use Gen AI in PS.

I've just worked out what this is! I think my Internet service provider IP was blocked. I just went through a different Internet service provider on my phone and generative Phil worked!

Mac Sequoia changed this - so I had to change back to 1280 and upload restriction was gone and generative fill worked again

Generative fill have been working fine for me since January 2024, but since yesterday I started getting the same error, I'm on Apple Silicon and my Internet/Firewall are fine. Anyone got this error on 22/23 Sepember 2024?

It's working now. It was due to Sequoia 15.0 OS upgrade that had some issues with firewall. Now in Sequoia 15.2, the firewall bug was fixed.

Generative Fill used to work but in the last couple weeks I haven't been able to use it because of an internet connection issue. However, all other applications work and I've uninstalled/installed PS, but it still doesn't work. Has anyone found a solution?

Terrible Issue with Generative AI with No Definite Solution

Same issue and it happens many times since using it. The issue with 'The service is not responding, ' still persist despite many suggested solutions are attempted. Despite strong WIFI connection, turning off Firewall, restarting the computer, redownloading Photoshop with recent updated versions, changing the connection to mobile hotspot and try other connections, resetting the WIFI as well did not seem to resolve the issue. Having try many suggested whatever methods to resolve the issue posted in the community but still nothing had changed. And yet the company charged for the service without offering any solution. Hopefully adobe can resolve this although it sometimes may or may not resolve on its own.

My photoshop generative fill has been working fine up till today. Now I keep getting that message too. I have updated all Adobe products includibg creative cloud, cleared my files so plenty of space. Restarted the entire Mac and I still get this, has anyone found a fix considering you were reporting the issue months ago?

happening to me - just looks like server/api load. if i rerun the AI fill it works the 2nd time so not related to my setup/network. tedious! i magine their servers are getting hammered tho the more people use it and they try to keep scaling

The problem is with your connection, I've tried it. This problem occurs if I use WiFi and if I use a hotspot connection from my cellphone the problem is resolved. Maybe you can try using another connection besides the one you are using now.

Same issue.  Firewall turned off.  Antimalware turned off.  64GB of RAM, dual GPUs, 32-core processor.  Internet speed is 500mbps+.  Generative Expand never completes.  The progress bar will get all the way to 100%, then throw the error.  Generative Fill worked fine at first with Photoshop 25.6.0, then just stopped, with no change in client settings or Photoshop settings.  Attempted to contact technical support, but they never respond.
