HELP NEEDED: Photoshop crashing as soon as I pick object slection tool

Hello,

using photoshp 26.10.0 and Windows 11 Pro 24H2.

All of a sudden, Photoshop completely crashes seconds after I pick object selection tool. No error message, nothing. The spinning "thinking/processing" cursor appears for a coiuple of seconds and then photoshop crashes and closes itself.

Any ideas ?
