Question

How do I make a script that automatically resizes a text box to fit the text content

I'm having a problem with text boxes that are not correctly sized which makes aligning (centrering) them diffecult. Now I could resize them by hand, but that would take awhile if I have a few. I could also rasterize them, but then I could no longer edit them anymore. Something I need to do frequently. So I came to the conclusion that the best action was finding another solution for this.

A script seemed like the perfect solution. However I do not know how to script (and don't know the Photoshop scripting rules(?)). Now I have found a script that I could use for the same thing, but in Illustrator and not Photoshop. Which is no use for me because my problem is in Photoshop, but maybe a Photoshop coder knows how to change this to photoshop(?) @RedTempest

Why don't you share your fix? That way your post will help others in the same situation that are also looking for help, just like you were.

@Phil5C41 , could you post screenshots to illustrate what exactly you are trying to achieve?

Thanks, no screengrabs, but hopefully, my post is self-explanatory, here.
