Is it possible to reinstall very old versions of Photoshop?

Today I updated Creative Cloud Desktop and Photoshop from version 26 to 27. I've always had Photoshop 2021 installed on my computer over the years, as I need it for certain types of older files.

I've never had any problems having both versions on my computer. I just kept one of them up to date. But today, after the updates I made, I don't know why, but my version of Photoshop 2021 has been deleted... This is the first time this has happened to me during an update.

Is there a way for me to recover this specific version? Creative Cloud Desktop won't let me download versions older than 26.

    I contacted an agent via Adobe Virtual Assistant. After bypassing the AI chatbot, I was able to ask an agent directly for version 22.2, and I received the download link without having to explain myself.

    So that's the solution to my problem. If anyone else has the same issue in the future, contact Adobe support directly.

    I'll be able to finish my project with peace of mind and keep this precious version safe haha :))

    Adobe only provides the current and one previous version of Photoshop. Version 21 is no longer available.

     

    When you do a manual update, there is a dialog box asking if you want to keep or remove previous versions.

      Okay, thanks for the reply. So there's absolutely no way for me to recover an older version? I absolutely need it to finish my project.

      Again, it shouldn't have been deleted; the option to delete old versions was not checked in the Creative Cloud app.

      Hi ​@Sarah P., as ​@jane-e mentions, v21 isn’t available for direct download anymore. I’m curious if the older files you need to work on are PSDs with 3D layers? If so, you might try installing 22.2 via Creative Cloud if that’s available for you as I believe it’s kept around longer for 3D users. Another option might be to use Substance 3D tools for new 3D work, then composite in current Photoshop. Another thought is for you to share a sample file or more details on the older files so we can troubleshoot specifics. And if this doesn’t pertain to 3D files, can you let us know what older files won’t work with the newer versions? Some folks here probably still have v21 and could possibly convert for you to finish your project.
