Lost all toolbar icons since last update

Lost my toolbar icons after last update, there are still 'markers' where the icon should be. Also lost control over the quick adjustment icons, but not the using the pop up icon under the layers panel

Hi @bet1947 glad to hear you are up and it is working. As per your question as to why:

"There is a lot going on in these logs that is abnormal, not just with Adjustments. What the team thinks you should try at this time is to close Photoshop and go to this location on your hard drive:

C:\Users\Bill\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\UXP\PluginsStorage\PHSP

Then rename the folder "24" to "~24", relaunch Photoshop, and retry. This is the storage folder for UXP plugins (such as the Adjustments panel and all those other panels that get greyed out in the Window menu). This is basically resetting a different set of preferences. Since the Beta version is working, which uses the PHSPBETA folder next to the location mentioned above, it is likely there is something in the PHSP folder which isn't configured correctly. When launching Photoshop it will recreate the 24 folder and fill it with new contents."

Had the same problem with Photoshop 26.11 and 27.0 and 27.1.

Did what you mentioned with folder 27 and it worked! It drove me nuts fpr several weeks. Thank you!

Cory, WOW! That fixed the problem with just "~24" I been fighting with this since version 24.5 . It is nice to be back in business with a working Photoshop. So I assume this made corrections to the files, and future updates should be OK . Thank You .

Cory, I just installed the beta 25.0 and it appears to be working just fine. But why PS 24.5, 24.6 and 24.7 is not working. Tool panel and adjustment is not working. Is there a way to get a clean install for 24.7, because I must have some corrupt files somwhere in the photoshop folders. I already reset preferences several times. Uninstall and re-install several times and nothing is fixing the problem. Here is system info for PS.24.7

Cory I just sent the log files. Also disable third party plugins. I still have no working adjustment panel, and the toobar is missing the icon that shows what tool it is. When i shut down PS 24.7 i get "can't write new document presets file" All these problems started with version 24.5 and has got worst with 24.6 and 24.7

Hi all, a few things the team needs to dig in further:

1. Make sure when you start Ps to test this bug/issue that you disable all third-party plugins to rule them out. Launch Photoshop with them disabled (hold Shift).

2. After Adjustments stops working it seems that UXP has completely broken (all the disabled panels are UXP panels). So we'll need to check the log files.
The UXP logs are in the preferences folder: C:\Users\[UserName]\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop 2024\Logs. Please recreate the issue, close Photoshop, and then send us the most recently created copy of the log file. This folder keeps the 10 most recent copies, each copy represents one Photoshop session.

I Updated my graphics driver to the latest, and I now have 141 GB of scratch disk now. I moved my Lightroom catalog to the 😧 drive. I did a settings reset, Uninstalled and re-installed several times. Problem still exist with the Adjustment layer panel .

When I set PS into a default state it also reset my stratch discs. Here is my revised copy of my system info showing my stratch discs. Comfirming the stratch discs did not fix the problem.

I tryed again to update graphics card, and this time it said there was a new one. That did not fix the problem. Here is a screenshot of the window panel when the adjustment panel don't work. I added the red dots to show what is grayed out.

I have PS on the C drive, and I have a larger Hard drive on D drive. Under scratch disk I put a check mark under D drive. Does that mean it will use D drive if needed? (see photo) I did upgrade to 24.6 and 24.7 , but I had same problem but much worst. The adjustment panel would not work no matter how many times I re-boot, but 24.5 will work fine after just one or two re-starts. I tryed to update graphic card, but it said I had the latest driver. I will try again.
