Question

My photoshop will not open. Plus it will not let me take out photo from lightroom classic and move to Photoshop. The computer and graphics are all up to date. This has worked for years and now nothing.

    Hi @charlesg22473458

Apologies for the delayed response. I’m hopeful that the issue has been resolved by now. If you're still experiencing the issue, please update Lightroom Classic to version 15.5 and Photoshop to version 27.9, and check whether the issue persists.

If the issue continues after updating, please share the following details so we can investigate further:

    • Is the issue specific to certain files, or does it occur with all files?
    • Please share a few sample files that reproduce the issue.
    • Where are these files stored (local drive, external drive, network drive, or cloud storage)?
    • Have you tried using a different Lightroom Classic catalog? If so, does the issue occur there as well?
    • If possible, please share a short screen recording showing the issue and the steps that lead to it.

Additionally, please try resetting the preferences for both Photoshop check if that helps resolve the issue.

Before resetting the preferences, please make sure to back up your preferences and any custom settings so they can be restored if needed.

The steps to reset the preferences are shared below:

Please let us know how it goes.
