We've temporarilydisabled this filter because of an error.

I have been getting that error for about a week now in beta. Scratch reduction is working fine though.

I've just been sitting with support for 2 hours and they couldn't fix it either.

I was just told.

Wait for a new version.

So still no solution to this?  😞

It seems to come and go with no rhyme or reason for me. My GPU rides the line at 'just enough' for CC so I feel like it has to do with the size of the file/amount of processing needed on a particular image. Camera Raw stopped working altogether after the last update, though nothing changed with my system.

Trying to restore a large batch of historic photos for a town's 150th anniversary and the filter does not work on anything. As per note it is totally diabled.

I also have this error today. it worked fine today for few images and suddenly stopped with the error.

Today there was an update to Photoshop and Lightroom Classic, but the Photo Restoration worked after that.

The filter has been temporarily disabled due to an error, but the scratch reduction is still functioning properly.

Hi, I do not know your system, but I find out that my graphic card NVIDIA GeForce GT 730 is to old and not strong enough. It need more than 2000 operations per second. So I think I have to by a stronger graphic card and hope it will work.

All of the Neural Filters are working fine for me now, and they've been working fine for weeks.  I'm using an Apple M1 mac mini.  I had some problems a few months ago, but after working with the filters for a while I discovered I was making mistakes … such as not making sure that the image I was working on for Colorizing was actually a RGB color image, not a greyscale image.  Anyway, I'm happy with all of it now.

So I just had this problem and the fix for me was to do some basic color correction and levels before running the filter. My photo was very yellowed and I think that was causing the confusion to the ai. I know some scanners react the same to yellowed photos.

Interesting, but I"m working with grayscale photos. Fussing with the levels is what I am expecting the filter to do, so I don't know if pre-leveling is going to make things better or worse.

If my theory is correct, adjusting contrast should help. The other thing I just learned is to make sure the orientation is correct.

hey guys it works if you open it through Photoshop (Beta), download it from the Creative Cloud app, it's a separate version so don't worry it will not replace your stable version.

How did you use the restoration tool in the web beta version? I don't see that option under the filter tab or anywhere else.

Not sure what you meant about 'web beta version'. I have the creative cloud desktop app for macOS, inside it I downloaded the Photoshop (beta) desktop version (it's inside Beta Versions in the left menu). After that make sure you open the Photoshop (Beta) version, not the stable version, and then you'll have to redownload the neural filter.
