P: Pen Tool Not Working as it should

I have just updated Photoshop to v22.3 (10 March 2021). When I try to use the Pen Tool it puts the nodes in but doesn't create a linking line. I have closed everything and re-started my PC but the error still there. I've been trying to find a way to report this to Adobe but this is the only feedback area I can find. I have been using Photoshop for over 20 years and using the Pen Tool all that time. I need to complete a job but I'm now stuck as I need this tool.

Can I uninstall this update?

Anyone else having this problem?

Do Adobe monitor this feed?

Hi,

We're happy to announce the release of Photoshop 22.4 which should include the fix for this issue. To update Photoshop to the latest version, you can check: https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/creative-cloud-updates.html

For information on other issues fixed with this update, please check: https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/fixed-issues.html

Nikunj

I've lost time and money because of this bug. I've had it with Adobe. It's not worth the $50/month. I can get better reliability from old copies on CD.

Yep, I'm not budging from 22.2 until they come out with 22.4 or whatever they'll call it.

I just reverted to PS 22.2.0 which seems to remedy the pen tool bug.

I also had strange behavior with control points in Curves.

Can't believe Adobe hasn't corrected this yet.

Therefore: Maintain a Work Path (one point is enough), work on named Paths.

I'm having the same issue on a Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS Catalina 10.15.7

Path works ok (editable) when it's a "Working Path" but once the path is named ex Path 1 , then the problem starts. A really bad new bug!

I had success creating a new document and dragging the existing document layers and paths to the new document. I never created a work path but the path tool is working correctly on existing paths or copies of those paths I made to create variations. I don't know what is going on at Adobe, I've never seen so many critical bugs as over the last 12 months. Some of which still remain unaddressed. Maybe they need to concentrate more on not breaking the program instead of adding new "sparkly" tools nobody needs.

You can still do this, as long as you then create a new work path by making a couple of points with no path selected. For some reason the bug only manifest when there is no work path.

The official workaround is draconian, when all you need to do is maintain a work path.

Has no one seen the Adobe post about this (attached)?

Adobe, when will there be a fix for this important issue?

I don't understand why PS 22.3 is full of bugs?
