P: Pen Tool Not Working as it should

I have just updated Photoshop to v22.3 (10 March 2021). When I try to use the Pen Tool it puts the nodes in but doesn't create a linking line. I have closed everything and re-started my PC but the error still there. I've been trying to find a way to report this to Adobe but this is the only feedback area I can find. I have been using Photoshop for over 20 years and using the Pen Tool all that time. I need to complete a job but I'm now stuck as I need this tool.

Can I uninstall this update?

Anyone else having this problem?

Do Adobe monitor this feed?

Hi,

We're happy to announce the release of Photoshop 22.4 which should include the fix for this issue. To update Photoshop to the latest version, you can check: https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/creative-cloud-updates.html

Your criticism is valid Simaon. They simply should not release an update unless it is fully tested and working properly in every function. We pay for this every month - it's not like it's freeware!

And again: Maintain a Work Path then working on named Paths should work as expected.

I can't imagine that beta testers are involved in a "real" work life. It took me 10 minutes to find the bug. Happens so often (just remembering the transformation tool)

When drawing a clipping path, I used to be able to stop in the middle of it to save it (give it a name) and then continue drawing it. The latest update seems to have "broke it".  I can no longer add to a path. Adobe, please put it back the way it was.

That seems hard to believe to me.

The work-around has worked reliably for me, so please post screenshots or a screen-recording to support your claim. (Obviously the Paths Panel needs to be included so one can see whether a Work Path actually exists …)

I am having the same issue and the workaround is not working for me either. I hope they sort a fix for this soon!

The bug has been acknowledged a while back, the work-around is to maintain a Work Path, then working on named Paths should work as expected.
