P: Pen Tool Not Working as it should

I have just updated Photoshop to v22.3 (10 March 2021). When I try to use the Pen Tool it puts the nodes in but doesn't create a linking line. I have closed everything and re-started my PC but the error still there. I've been trying to find a way to report this to Adobe but this is the only feedback area I can find. I have been using Photoshop for over 20 years and using the Pen Tool all that time. I need to complete a job but I'm now stuck as I need this tool.

Can I uninstall this update?

Anyone else having this problem?

Do Adobe monitor this feed?

Hi,

We're happy to announce the release of Photoshop 22.4 which should include the fix for this issue. To update Photoshop to the latest version, you can check: https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/creative-cloud-updates.html

For information on other issues fixed with this update, please check: https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/fixed-issues.html

Dear, obviously i'm talking about the topic issue and title:

Photoshop 22.3.0: Pen Tool Not Working as it should

The issue is that the "master" told that has been corrected, but it isn't.

I'm working on  PC, and i only solved re-installing 22.2.0. But i think this is not the solution that the "adobe Master" was talking about.

The last update is the 22.4.2 wich our master was talking about....

Sorry, but this was obvious to me, by the context itself.

But i only want to tell to adobe and all their master how much unsuful they are, together with their repetitive updates...

Hope that it's clear now.

I have 22.4.2 and at first the PEN tool did not work - still Invisible lines between nodes.

I  then tried to activate "Use Graphics Processor". Edit -> Preferences -> Performance.

That seems to fix the PEN tool in my case although I have other issues then, but not related to the PEN tool.

I have 22.4.2 as well and can't even see the nodes.

I'm pretty sure it ia a display issue but how? First the pen died in my desktop when I updated to 22.4 I, think. Then I went to the laptop which had 22.3.1 (I think). I cheched the pen Before the update and worked 100%. However after the update, dead. Same with the desktop, worked 100%. Now I have 22.4.2 on the desktop and still no good. When drawing if tou drag the anchor, fine, but if you just click straight lines, nothing shows. If you turn the layer off and back on, all lines and anchors are there.

In 22.4.2 on Mac OS 10.15.7 the disconnected pathPoints issue appears to be resolved but the Vector Mask-duplication issue persists for me.

So which issue were you actually trying to talk about?

Please provide meaningful information.

»the last update« for example is an effectively meaningless statement compared to actually giving the version number.

the problem isn't fixed!

i just downloaded te last update, and it simply

DOES NOT FIX ANYTHINGH!!!!

Tell this to the genius around you.

We bought a software to work with it, not to waste our time in forums, installing downloading, uninstalling ang going crazy to follow your ridicolous craving for money.

@Timothy Bowland what do you mean by "add a color"?

Just updated to Version: 22.4.2 and the PEN tool still does not work properly. No lines visible between the nodes.

@Bill_C

That's the version that killed the pen for me. I checked my Asus laptop (23.1 I think) before update and worked fine. Updatet to 22.4.1 and the pen is toast. Same happened on my desktop.

Looks like video problem to me. If you keep clicking and don't see the anchors and lines, move the screen up or down or sideways or turn the layer off and back on, all the lines are there.
