P: PS v24.2 update fail on Mac M2 - error 183 <edited-kglad>

Photoshop update to v24.2 fails on my M2 Mac mini and then corrupts my currently installed version (it does not open and displays error saying elements of the app are missing). I had to reinstall v24.1.

Hey Kerry, i do not know when exactly but Photoshop v24.3 it's available at least since yesterday and it's working fine on Mac M2 without rosetta.

if you are trying to install photoshop from Creative Cloud Website, just close your browser and open Creative Cloud Dektop app, try to install photoshop from there

maybe the link on creative cloud website prmpt you to v24.2 installation, don't know.

Me too. I do not want to install Rosetta on my new mac m2. You would think Adobe, being such a large company, would have this fixed or at least in big bold letters before you buy it and download creative cloud that Rosetta is needed and/or if you are running a M2 chip that the latest version of PS will not work. I am canceling my subscription. I much rather put my money and my company's money into a rock-solid solution. Having to install Rosetta feels like a "Jerry-Rig". C'mon adobe, seriously adobe? seriously!

My 24.3 update won't show image files! I keep getting a white background that flashing so fast it hurts my eyes! I can play audio files, but no images! After an hour the version now keeps crashing when I open v 24.3!

@kglad Thanks for the info - didn't know Adobe does those "wavy" releases. I actually did reset CC app many times already - it is still showing me 24.2 (which is a bit frustrating).

Anyhow - it's wait and see, I guess... 😏

adobe updates are rolled out to users in waves. ie, not all users see updates appear at the same time. generally within one week, you'll see the update appear in your app. and you can reset your app occassionally,

reset the cc desktop app by making sure it's in the foreground, then press:

Win: Ctrl + Alt + R
Mac: Cmd + Opt + R

Hi guys, I don't see the 24.3 update in my CC - it still wants to install the 24.2 (which won't).

Is it some kind of beta we may apply for or where did you get that? 🙂
