Photoshop keeps crashing randomly on my new (high end) computer

Hey everyone !
I recently got my new PC, which is really high end, to hopefully have no worries or troubles using Photoshop for work.

The drivers are updated (I'm using Nvidia Studio Drivers).
I deactivated the onboard GPU from the processor
I'm using a Cintiq

And for whatever reason, Photoshop keeps crashing very randomly when I'm working. Sometimes I get through a whole day without crashes, and sometimes I can't go 5 minutes without having one.
It's frustrating and I have no idea what to do.

Below are the specs of my PC, and Photoshop's

My PC

OS : Windows 11 Pro

CPU : Intel i9 14900K

GPU : GTX 4090 Aorus
Motherboard : ROG MAXIMUS Z790 HERO
RAM : 96 Gb of RAM (80% to be used by Photoshop)
OS and Photoshop are installed on separate M.2 drives
(tell me if you need anything more info)

PHOTOSHOP

I deinstalled all plugins I was used to
I tried and got the same results on Photoshop v25.31 / v24.72 / 24.3

Does anything else crash? Have you run memtest on the computer? Are you overclocking anything?

You might be better starting a new thread.

Tell us:

Operating system and version.

Photoshop version?

If the problem is the same with the beta version (if you have it installed)?

If a particular set of circumstances results in a crash?

A bit about the hardware you are using, and especially the GPU and driver?

Then go Help > System Info > Copy and paste to your thread.

We'll look out for your thread.

[Update] I've installed Photoshop on the same drive than the OS and was working on a new PSD file for the last 2 days. (thinking the issue might be with my other file)
Today I experienced the same type of crash again.
What are my next step to troubleshoot this ?

Thanks again to any who can provide help it's making my work painful right now...

There is no reaason to keep OS and applications separate. Everything will run better and more smoothly if you have it all on one system drive. That's how it's intended to work.

Keep in mind that a large part of the installation will go to the user account on your OS drive anyway.

What does make sense to split out to a separate drive, are all your images and documents.

@Mitsu_art 100% correct on @D Fosse part - PS requires installation on the same drive as the system (as do most softwares). your reasoning for keeping your system separated is flawed. Its reasonable to keep documents and files separate from a system drive, but not software.

That was not for space management as much as keep OS separated from everything else. But I can mane an exception for photoshop.

I'll try right now and jeep you updated !

Well spotted Ged.

The crash reports show two unrelated crashes BEX64 and an App crash. I would also start by uninstalling and running Adobe's own CC cleaner app before re-installing on the C drive. After doing so set your max memory use to 70% in Preferences and the primary scratch disk to the second M2 drive.

Indeed. Installing on any other drive than the system drive is just inviting problems. Half of the installation will be on your C drive anyway. I'd start by uninstalling, and reinstalling on C. Reset your preferences while you're at it, to get a clean start.
